European Culture Foundation award
The ECF develops and supports cultural initiatives that promote democratic values across Europe.
They commissioned me to design an award object for their annual prize. Since the nominees were mainly theater companies and artist collectives, I created, instead of a single traditional trophy, a collection of 27 drinking cups – one for each EU member state. Together, these cups form the map of Europe. The cups were created in collaboration with ceramicist JC Herman.
