Where will we be 40 years from now, and how will we remember today as we look back at our lives then? What will today look like in the future?
For the slide installation ‘Yesterdays, Tomorrows, Today’ I look again at myself but this time from a possible future. I photographed a man forty years older than me, but with similar features. He is wearing my clothes and walking through my house doing the private daily rituals that I do when I am alone—folding shirts, looking through a window, making a cup of coffee in the kitchen. Am I the old man, or is the elderly man a younger version of myself? And what are we looking at, a memory from the future, or a young man acting old?
